SDC was published in Ribon.

So you've heard a lot about how Arina has published her works on Shueisha Ribon Magazine but what exactly is it? Here's some of the Frequently Asked Questions about it, hope it answers to some of your questions.

What is ribon?

Ribon is a monthly manga magazine. It's out once in a month, usually around the first days of every month. It's about 5 cm thick and filled with lots of manga but only one chapter per manga. These chapters are about 20 to 40 pages each.

What is furoku?

It's the extra items you get with ribon like stickers, clocks, pencils, erasers, mufflers, cds, hand-mirrors, makeup, stationary, fortune telling things and lots more. Usually there's about 3 to 8 furoku items in each ribon. All these items features different mangas running in ribon right now.

What is the difference between Ribon, Ribon Original and Ribon Special?

Ribon is the main magazine. Ribon original is, as I see it, an alternative or fill up when you've read the whole ribon. It's as thick and big as Ribon but costs a little less and has less colour pages and no Furoku. Most of the mangas in Ribon Original is just one chapter mangas. If they do continue, then it's probably for max 5 ribon original. Many mangakas debut in Ribon original, Arina Tanemura did so too. Ribon original is also monthly, but is out around the 17th every month. Ribon special is 10 cm thick, a bit smaller, manga magazine that is out 4 times per year. It's filled with one-shot mangas, and sometimes some small specials from mangas running in Ribon. They're really fun to read!

Why is it different qualities in all shinshi doumei cross chapters!? don't you edit them in the same way!?

I will soon put up an example, but for now I'll try to explain it: In ribon, the mangas have different colors. The ink used to print the manga is in different colours, usually one or two per manga. Sometimes, SDC gets a "bad color", that's what I call it. Some colours are hard to scan in high quality but some are easier. Some are not printed at all, like light blue, both me and my scanner have a hard time editing these chapters. Sometimes SDC falls on red ink. Then the quality goes up, since it's easier for the scanner to see it. SDC does not have an absolute position in ribon you see, it's not like it's decided that "SDC is after that manga or before!". It can be located anywhere in ribon, therefore on different colours every month. I hope you understand ^^;

Why can't you release chapters faster?

Because ribon is a monthly magazine! I'm not the author of this manga, so I don't have the authority to speed up the release at all! I'm in the same boat as you, I also want more chapters out faster, but that's impossible x(
